CRDB sought to strengthen its positioning among US investors, policymakers and development finance institutions, while reinforcing its role as a leading financial institution in Tanzania and the wider East African region.

The objective was to unlock new capital partnerships, elevate international visibility and deepen engagement with strategic US stakeholders.

Invest Africa Consult designed and delivered a high-level engagement week in Washington DC, focused on targeted stakeholder access and strategic positioning.

This included:

  • Comprehensive stakeholder mapping of priority US investors, DFIs and public sector actors with an interest in Tanzania, DRC and Burundi

  • Development of bespoke public affairs briefs to support senior leadership engagement

  • Identification and curation of thought leadership opportunities to elevate CRDB’s profile

  • Coordination of bilateral meetings with high-value stakeholders

Our approach combined investor intelligence, strategic messaging and curated introductions to ensure measurable commercial and reputational outcomes.

  • Secured five bilateral meetings with US investors and public sector stakeholders

  • Identified two funding opportunities, including engagement with US EXIM and British International Investment
