For Buchanan’s inaugural episode, Augustine Chipungu speaks to Tutu Agyare on a range of topic issues, including cost of capital in Africa, beneficiation, the African Continental Free Trade Area, and impact of COVID-19.

As one of the most consummate pan-African entrepreneurs, Mr. Agyare is a man who has been involved in various different projects over the years. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of the UK and Ghana based investment and advisory firm, Nubuke Investments, Chairman of Zen Petroleum, a downstream oil company, and Chairman of GCC Resorts Ltd – owners of the Kempinski Hotel in Ghana amongst many others. He began his career at UBS, where he spent 21 years, holding a number of senior positions, including most recently as the Head of European Emerging Markets and a member of the Investment Bank Board.

This titan of industry is also a man of many firsts – the first African to trade on the London Stock Exchange, one of the first Africans to ever sit on the board of a FTSE100 company, and was voted as one of the top 100 most influential Africans by New African Magazine.
