Mitrelli: A New Chapter for 35,000 Lives Begins with the Inauguration of Water Access in Galébré, Central-East Côte d’Ivoire

“Finally, mothers will no longer need to wake up at 4am to fetch water.” H.E. Myss Belmonde Dogo, Minister of National Cohesion, Solidarity and the Fight Against Poverty.

About a month ago - in the presence of H.E. Anne Desirée Ouloto, Minister of State of Public Service and Administrative Modernization, representing the Prime Minister, H.E. Robert Beugré Mambé, H.E. Myss Belmonde Dogo, Minister of National Cohesion, Solidarity and the Fight Against Poverty; H.E. Moussa Sanogo; Minister of State Assets, State Portfolio and Public Enterprises; H.E. Bouake Fofance, Minister of Hydraulics, Sanitation, and Public Cleanliness - Galébré marked a transformative milestone.

With this inauguration, more than 35,000 people now have reliable access to clean water, which is part of Côte d’Ivoire’s national Water for All (Eau Pour Tous) programme, designed to reach 1.5 million citizens across 200 sub-prefectures, reinforcing water as a national development priority.

  • Because water is never just water.

  • It means healthier families.

  • Children in school instead of walking miles

  • "Time regained. Productivity restored. Dignity strengthened.”
