From permanent membership at the G20 to an expanded BRICS, Africa’s is commanding an ever more critical role in the world. With a population set to more than double by 2050 and double again by the end of the century, the continent boasts 55 UN member states, vast natural resources, and many of the world’s fastest-growing economies, positioning it to be a major player on the global stage. But Africa faces many obstacles, including political discord, disunity, and a dearth of investment.

The Africa Debate 2024 will bring together leaders from across the continent to discuss and debate Africa’s role in a changing global order, the continent’s partnerships with emerging, reemerging, and established powers, and how investors can navigate this changing landscape.
