Africa Renewables Investment Summit 2025

  • Cape Town CTICC, 1 Lower Long Street Cape Town, WC, 8001 South Africa (map)

Africa has the world’s largest untapped renewable energy potential, yet less than 2% of global clean energy investment has reached the continent. This isn’t due to lack of opportunity, but a gap between capital and viable projects.

The Africa Renewables Investment Summit (ARIS) was created to bridge that gap—connecting bankable projects with the right capital, partners, and policy support through its Marketplace, matchmaking sessions, and policy forums.

Join us in transforming Africa’s renewable energy potential into investment-ready realities.

Africa’s Leading Marketplace for Renewable Energy Investment

The Africa Renewables Investment Summit (ARIS) is the continent’s premier platform for unlocking renewable energy investment opportunities. Anchored by a high-level conference, exhibition, project pitching forum, startup pitching arena, and AI-powered business matchmaking, ARIS brings together the full spectrum of stakeholders needed to drive Africa’s energy transition forward.

Despite being home to the world’s richest renewable energy resources, Africa attracts less than 2% of global renewable energy investment. ARIS exists to help change that.

With nearly 600 million Africans still without access to electricity, the continent faces a pressing challenge—and a generational opportunity. Renewable energy offers the fastest, most scalable path to universal energy access and sustainable economic growth. According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Africa requires US$70 billion in annual renewable energy investments to meet its electrification targets by 2030.

What ARIS Offers

ARIS is not just a summit—it’s a results-driven investment marketplace. It convenes a powerful coalition of actors, including:

  • National and regional governments

  • Utilities, regulators, and electricity off-takers

  • Development finance institutions (DFIs)

  • Private equity and infrastructure funds

  • Pension funds and commercial banks

  • Asset managers and venture capital firms

  • Independent power producers (IPPs)

  • Project developers and facilitators

  • Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs)

Together, they collaborate to accelerate transactions, align policy with investment flows, and bring scalable clean energy solutions to life across the continent.

Real Results, Real Impact

ARIS is designed for action—not just conversation. At the inaugural summit in 2022, a record-breaking US$74 million commercial & industrial (C&I) solar deal was closed on-site by Norfund, Climate Fund Managers (CFM) and Empower New Energy. This landmark transaction—the largest of its kind in Africa—will directly benefit 10 African countries, proving that ARIS is where real investment happens.
