Okala Networking Reception: Nature Intelligence in Emerging Markets

  • London England United Kingdom (map)

Nature and biodiversity are becoming defining considerations in global investment, infrastructure and industrial strategy. What was once treated primarily as a sustainability issue is increasingly recognised as a material business concern, with direct implications for financing, supply chains, project delivery and long-term asset resilience.

This shift is particularly significant across emerging markets, where rapid industrial growth, natural resource dependency and evolving regulatory frameworks are reshaping how investors and operators approach development. From mining and energy to agriculture and infrastructure, businesses face growing scrutiny from lenders, shareholders and governments to demonstrate credible biodiversity management, transparent reporting and long-term environmental stewardship.

Invest Africa, in partnership with Okala, are hosting a private drinks reception in London, convening senior leaders from finance, industry and sustainability to explore the growing role of nature intelligence in investment and operational decision-making. The evening will focus discussion on how nature-related considerations are shaping financing decisions, project viability and investor expectations across sectors including mining, energy, infrastructure and agriculture.
