Private Investor Roundtable: Unlocking Africa's Next Chapter of Private Capital

  • Cape Town Western Cape South Africa (map)

Taking place alongside SuperReturn Africa in Cape Town, Invest Africa will host an exclusive, invitation-only roundtable bringing together 25–30 senior investors, institutional capital providers, private equity leaders and government representatives to discuss the future of private capital investment across Africa.

Featuring Runa Alam, Co-Founder and Chair of Development Partners International (DPI), the discussion will explore the evolving African investment landscape, the opportunities emerging across markets and sectors, and the role of private capital in supporting business growth and delivering long-term value.

Against a backdrop of changing investor priorities and continued challenges around risk, liquidity and exits, the roundtable will provide a platform for candid discussion on how investors can navigate market complexities, identify compelling opportunities and generate attractive risk-adjusted returns.

Discussion Themes

  • Africa's private capital outlook and emerging investment opportunities.

  • Mobilising international and domestic institutional capital.

  • Value creation, portfolio growth and successful exit strategies.

  • Managing risk, building resilience and delivering returns.

  • The role of government, partnerships and policy in strengthening Africa's investment environment.

The session will be designed to encourage open dialogue and direct engagement between participants, providing a valuable opportunity to exchange perspectives, strengthen relationships and explore opportunities for investment and collaboration across African markets.
