Ashleigh is Managing Director at Octopus Energy Generation, where she leads initiatives to develop and finance innovative renewable energy models for consumers. This includes the Octopus Energy Collective, a market-first retail investment platform that opens up renewable projects for public ownership. Ashleigh also spearheads the Octopus Energy Power Africa Initiative, which aims to create a smart, practical model that opens new doors for green investments in emerging markets. 

Before joining Octopus, Ashleigh spent a decade as a lawyer in South Africa and the UK, specialising in renewables and financial services mergers and acquisitions. She later earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School.
