Chantelé Carrington: Chief Executive Officer

Chantelé joined Invest Africa from PwC. She hails from Africa and is an accountant and consultant by background, with more than 20 years of experience specialising in financial services. Chantelé brings a wealth of global expertise and networks for Africa as the UK’s Strategic International Markets Leader, looking after trade and investment with Africa and key global markets across the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Prior to this she was the COO of the Africa Business Group for the UK-Africa Alliance.

She is a member of the UK Government’s Africa Investor Group and the External Advisory Board of the UK-African Summit. She was also the Advisory Group Chair of the Technical Assistance Facility for the UK-Africa Investment Summit 2020. Prior to this she was an Advisory Board Member of the South Africa Chamber of Commerce UK, Non-executive Director of Siat Group, Board Trustee of help2read and Advisory Board Member of innovaBRICS & Beyond. In addition, she was a Hult Prize Judge and member of the Selection Committee and regularly speaks on Africa at various platforms.
