Country Lead, Kenya | Manufacturing Africa & Partner | McKinsey & Co

Gillian Pais is a Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Nairobi office and has been based in Africa for over 10 years.  She is a core member of the central leadership team and the Kenya Country Lead for UKAid’s Manufacturing Africa program and has been with the program since inception in 2019.  Manufacturing Africa works across 6 countries in Africa to unlock >1.2 Billion GBP in Foreign Direct Investment into the manufacturing sector, with the goal of creating >90,000 jobs.  In addition to Manufacturing Africa, Gillian leads McKinsey’s agriculture work in Africa and has worked in over 20 countries on the continent on various agriculture value chains and agro-processing topics. She has extensive experience working with the private sector, development partners, and governments across the continent.
