Isabel Fick

Group Head of Trading & Operations | Africa GreenCo

Isabel Fick is an accomplished energy sector executive and currently serves as Head of Trading & Operations at GreenCo Power Services Ltd, part of the Africa GreenCo Group. In this role, she leads all trading, operational strategy, and market facing functions, strengthening GreenCo’s impact on regional power markets and supporting the development of a more reliable, competitive, and sustainable electricity ecosystem.

Isabel brings more than 30 years of power systems experience, including her tenure as General Manager: System Operator at NTCSA. There, she oversaw the national transmission grid, grid code compliance, telecommunications infrastructure, system studies, metering, protection settings, and emergency response frameworks. She led the system through some of the most challenging operational periods in South Africa’s history and drove major improvements in reliability and organisational resilience.

Her earlier executive roles include leading Eskom Rotek Industries’ Transformers & Switchgear Division, where she delivered multiyear revenue growth, quality improvements, and customer service turnarounds. She holds a B.Eng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, an MBA, and is a Fellow of the SAIEE and serves on the SAIEE Council.
