Jessicas Nyachiro

Jessica Nyachiro is a seasoned banker with over sixteen years of experience in the financial services sector. She has deep expertise in retail banking, alternative banking channels, corporate strategy, investor relations, and project management. She currently serves as the Managing Director of CRDB Bank DR Congo S.A.

Prior to her current role, Jessica held the position of Head of Strategy at the CRDB Bank Group, where she led the Group’s medium- and long-term strategic ambitions. She also previously served as Director of Retail Banking, where she played a key role in driving transformational projects — notably spearheading the launch of agency banking in Tanzania, establishing strategic partnerships, and leading digital transformation initiatives across the CRDB Bank Group. Among her notable achievements as Head of Strategy, she developed and led CRDB’s 2018–2022 medium-term strategy, which enabled a strong turnaround and shaped the Group’s regional expansion ambitions, including its entry into the DRC.

Beyond her professional career, Jessica is a leadership coach and passionate advocate for women’s empowerment. She is the former Chairperson of the SHE Initiative, an empowerment program designed to give women a voice through three pillars: women’s leadership within CRDB, financial solutions for women entrepreneurs, and support for vulnerable groups in communities surrounding the bank.

Jessica holds a Master’s degree in International Trade from the Institute of Finance Management (Tanzania), in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (India). She is also certified in Balanced Scorecard by George Washington University – Center for Excellence in Public Leadership, an African Change Maker Fellow (Cohort 3), and a graduate of the Women in Leadership training by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
