Osam Iyahen is a Senior Director at Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), with over 25 years of experience in international energy, natural resources, and infrastructure finance experience, across the full project lifecycle from strategy to delivery. His career includes significant contributions to multi-billion-dollar development projects with major multinational and indigenous African energy companies, multilateral & African financial institutions, as well as governments and boards.

At AFC, Osam has led efforts in originating, analyzing, executing, and managing development finance transactions across Africa’s evolving and transitioning energy sector. Over the last 16 years, he has built a robust Natural Resources sector franchise in Sub-Saharan Africa, with landmark transactions valued at over $2 billion in oil, gas, mining and related infrastructure.

Osam holds an MBA from Cornell University's Johnson School of Management in New York and is bilingual. He is a frequent and sought-afterspeaker and moderator at leading global conferences in oil & gas, mining and infrastructure investment conferences.
