Patrick has been Editor-in-Chief of The Africa Report since 2005, a monthly African politics and business magazine of Jeune Afrique Media Group. He is also Editor of insider newsletter, Africa Confidential. He was Associate Producer of “My Friend the Mercenary”, a Channel 4 documentary on an attempted coup in Equatorial Guinea (2005), Technical Advisor to a UN panel on DRC mineral resources (2002-03) and expert witness to the UN Security Council on the Mano River region conflict in 2000.
