Ms Phokwane Moloele is an Investment Principal at IDF Capital and is primarily responsible for investment activities under Alitheia IDF Fund. A Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of investment experience, Phokwane has been involved in investment banking, corporate finance, development finance and private equity environments. She has extensive experience in leading and managing due diligence teams, structuring transactions, presenting investment papers and implementing and monitoring approved investments.

She has held the role of Chief Operating Officer at IDF Capital where she led the Post Investment team supporting and monitoring investments in over 60 SMEs and working closely with the CEO to develop and accomplish the company’s goals and strategic plans. Prior to joining IDF Capital, Phokwane was a Senior Account Manager at the IDC where she concluded transactions in excess of R2.5 billion during her five-year tenure at the corporation.

Phokwane is passionate about fostering Alitheia IDF Fund’s mandate in Southern Africa. The Fund mandate is to strengthen and increase the participation of women-owned businesses, women in business, and women in the supply chain across economies on the African continent. Africa needs to develop local economic activities led by women that will benefit local communities and involve substantial participation by local enterprises and the first step to realising this is having access to funding.
