Saad Ul Islam, Investment Director, Infrastructure Equity, British International Investment

Saad Ul Islam joined British International Investment (BII) in 2016 and is an Investment Director in the equity team within the Infrastructure and Climate group with responsibilities for leading investments across renewable power, transmission & distribution, and water utility investments in Africa and Pakistan. Saad sits on the board of Africa Water Infrastructure Development (AWID), BII’s joint venture with Metito targeting development of water projects in Africa.

Saad has over 15 years of experience in investing power and infrastructure. Prior to joining BII, Saad worked for HgCapital focusing on investing in renewable energy projects across Europe and he started his career at Citigroup where he advised on infrastructure and energy projects in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Saad has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics.
