Saleh Saad Mohamed, the newly appointed Executive Director of the Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority (ZIPA), is an economist with a decade of experience in investment facilitation and sustainable development. As Deputy Director at ZIPA, he managed over 250 investment projects worth USD5 billion, driving growth in tourism, agriculture, renewable energy, and infrastructure. Previously, he served as an economist at the Zanzibar Planning Commission, contributing to the Blue Economy Policy and economic forecasting. He also represented Zanzibar in Tanzania’s Commission for Science and Technology (NFAST), championing innovation. A dedicated academic, he is a part-time lecturer with multiple publications. He holds a BSc and MSc in economic cybernetics from Kharkiv National University, Ukraine.
