The Investment Dialogues by Invest Africa are a bi-monthly, off-the-record dinner series designed to connect U.S.–Africa policy developments with tangible investment outcomes. Bringing together senior U.S. government officials, African diplomats, policymakers, and corporate and institutional investors, the Dialogues provide a trusted forum for candid, forward-looking discussion at the intersection of policy and capital.
As an ongoing series, each edition explores key developments shaping the U.S.–Africa trade and investment landscape, while examining how policy tools — including those deployed by the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation — are influencing capital flows to the continent. The Dialogues are designed to move beyond conversation, focusing on how policy priorities can align with scalable private investment opportunities over the coming 6–12 months.
With the support of BGR Group, we were pleased to convene a select group of senior policymakers and investors in Washington, D.C. for the first edition of the series. This inaugural off-the-record dinner focused on recent U.S.–Africa policy developments and emerging investment opportunities, setting the tone for future Dialogues aimed at fostering meaningful connections at the intersection of investment, policy, and growth.
