With recent high-profile tenders for telecoms in Ethiopia and Angola, as well as airlines in South Africa, the privatisation of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) represents a clear opportunity for investors in Africa. However, navigating tender processes can be challenging and investing in SOEs brings its own set of risks.

In partnership with Black Mountain Investment Management, this panel session will examine opportunities for investors arising out of the move towards private-public partnerships amongst Africa’s SOEs. The panel will share insights into upcoming developments that may be of interest to the investor community and discuss lessons that have been learnt from those SOEs that have been privatised.
