Abhinav Sinha

Managing Director & Head of Technology & Telecoms | British International Investment

Abhinav Sinha is a Managing Director at BII and leads the Technology, Telecoms and Sustainable Industrials team. In this capacity, he manages ~60 investments worth ~$1.5 billion across emerging markets. He is BII's lead on venture capital, digital infrastructure such as data centres and mobile networks as well as sustainable sectors such as e-mobility, renewables manufacturing and green manufacturing. 

Renewables value chain has been of particular interest with his team investing across various segments such as EV manufacturing,  Battery swapping networks, Charging infrastructure, EV fleets, 3-wheeler OEMs, EV financing firms, Battery component manufacturers, solar panel supply and manufacturing businesses. Mr Sinha serves on 4 Boards currently including Mahindra Electric Automotives, Safaricom Ethiopia, Holcim 14Trees and iMerit. 

Prior to BII, Abhinav Sinha was a Partner at Fidelity International's Eight Roads and helped set up the firm in India. He made multiple investments and exits across India and Europe in the industrial/ industrial tech space for a decade.

His early career was with BCG advising clients including firms in India and the US with a focus on telecoms, technologies and Indian industrial conglomerates, amongst others. Abhinav holds an MBA from IIM Calcutta and a BE in electronics engineering from NIT Trichy.
