Michelle is head of Dar's Integrated Enterprise Zone Planning Unit, overseeing multi-disciplinary teams of professionals within the built environment, transportation, and strategic consulting disciplines, across major projects. For over 20 years, Michelle has worked in the urban development sector with national and local government organisations, international development agencies and private sector clients in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. Michelle has specialist skills in the preparation of master plans and urban development frameworks, with a focus on transit-oriented development and circular economy-driven enterprise zones.

Bringing a strong background in design and an in-depth understanding of development processes to every project, Michelle's work is centred on mitigating the impact of urbanization on global climate change. Michelle's urban development experience focuses on the preparation of local and regional spatial planning documents and urban regeneration plans, and the optimising master plans to best integrate transport and economic drivers. Michelle’s work is informed by a deep commitment to incorporating resource efficiency and bio-climatic design principles into her work.
