Declan Galvin is the Managing Director of Exigent Risk Advisory based in Nairobi, Kenya. Declan has nearly two-decades of political risk, intelligence, investigative, and strategic advisory experience across key African markets.

Declan is a political risk expert in Africa with an expanding client base in the critical resource supply chain, infrastructure development, and energy sectors. He oversees Exigent's advisory services which integrates relationship development, specialist research, and subject matter expertise together with dedicated client teams to provide bespoke solutions.

In addition to his advisory support, Declan has been appointed to several boards including on the American Chamber of Commerce Kenya, the European Chamber of Commerce, and was an adviser for Stanford University's Africa Seed Business program. He has also had his analysis and commentary featured on CNBC Africa, The Africa Report, Foreign Policy Magazine, the Guardian, Reuters, Barron's, and Voice of America.
