Dhiren Vanmali, Executive Director Government Affairs, International Market Group - Africa, Ford Motor Company

Dhiren Vanmali joined Ford Motor Company in May 2001. In 2016 he was appointed as the Executive Director of Government Affairs for Africa and sits on the Board of Directors for Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa. He leads on all governmental matters for the African continent.

Mr. Vanmali represents Ford on several external bodies, including the African Association of Automotive Manufacturers (AAAM) and as a Non-Executive Director for the Tshwane Automotive Economic Zone (TASEZ). He also leads the responsibility for trade policy matters within FMCSA, including mitigation strategies around the impact of Brexit and the development and negotiations of the AfCFTA. Mr. Vanmali is also responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the automotive sector on the African continent.
