Dr. Golden Mahove, Chief of Party, USAID Southern Africa Trade and Investment Hub

Golden is a leading expert in inclusive agribusiness and enterprise development using the market systems development approach and an accomplished Team Leader on five multi-million-dollar multi-country programmes. Currently the Chief of Party of the $73 million USAID Southern Africa Trade and Investment Hub, he brings 27 years’ experience in trade, investment promotion, market systems development, agribusiness development, and overall private sector development. He has led multi-country projects supporting trade, investment, market linkages and income growth across Africa in various sectors with experience supporting commodity and product value chains to enhance enterprise growth. He has hands-on experience in how to foster private sector-led development and the development of inclusive business models that strengthen links between small and large private companies in various sector. He is also very passionate about business model innovation and innovation ecosystems.

Golden has a doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) with business model innovation specialization (USA) and an MBA in enterprise development. He is a keen Arsenal Football club supporter and is the club’s all-time leading goal scorer in his sleep.
