Based out of South Africa, Harry leads the Marsh Specialty growth strategy across the continent, with a specific focus on delivering a globally co-ordinated multi specialty client value proposition with a particular focus on addressing the complex and converging risks associated with infrastructure development and the energy transition in Africa. Harry has a technical background in structured credit & political risk insurance, having worked with Marsh in London (UK) and Dubai (UAE).

Experience:

16 years of insurance industry experience

Harry started his career in 2009 with JLT in London as a Credit & Political risk insurance broker. In 2014 Harry was asked to set up and lead the Structured Credit & Political Risk team covering the Middle East and Africa region, based out of the UAE. After 6 years and following the merger of Marsh and JLT, Harry became the MENA Political Risk and Structure Credit Leader for the combined business managing clients based across the region. In 2020, Harry returned to the UK to lead the Infrastructure Group for Credit Specialties delivering solutions to support investments and projects into developed and emerging markets. In 2024 Harry took on the role of Growth Leader for Marsh Africa, relocating to South Africa, where he is now based.
