Honourable Dr. Eng. P. Kambamura

Minister of Mines and Mining Development | Republic of Zimbabwe

Honourable P. Kambamura graduated for a BSc Honours Degree in Mining

Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe in 2002.  In 2019, he graduated for a Masters in Business Administration degree, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mining Engineering in 2021.

To understand more about the dynamics of the mining sector, Honourable Kambamura further graduated for a Masters in Natural Resource Management and Environmental Sustainability. He graduated with a distinction and was awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Award, for the best graduating student in the programme.

In 2025, Honourable Kambamura attained a Graduate Certificate in Finance and Economics from Toronto University under the Mining Industry Management Programme.  Same year, he also attained a Graduate Associate Certificate in Business Optimisation in Mining, from Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusLMM).

In November 2025, he completed a Masters in Public Policy and Governance degree from Africa University.  He will be graduating in June 2026.  Next year, Honourable Kambamura will also be graduating for a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Management Entrepreneurship, from Chinhoyi University of Technology.

In 2018, Dr Kambamura was Voted member of Parliament for Sanyati Constituency, and re-elected again to be Member of Parliament in 2023, a position he holds till now.

In 2018, The President of Zimbabwe appointed Dr Kambamura as Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Development, a position he held till December 2025.  In December 2025 he was appointed Minister of Mines and Mining Development.

Dr Kambamura is a seasoned professional Mining Engineer and a family man.
