Andrew has over 30 years of experience as an exploration geophysicist conducting and leading R&D efforts in the application of new technology to mineral and petroleum exploration. As the digital transformation took hold of the energy sector nearly a decade ago, he was tasked with providing technical oversight of the application of machine learning, AI and quantum computing across the entire value chain, leading to a role as the R&D lead at Woodside Energy. Most recently, he has led the development of a new type of airborne sensor that uses quantum sensors to detect trace gases at ground level from a survey aircraft, subsequently assuming responsibilities as the VP of Technology at Xcalibur Smart Mapping.
